Tonight’s blog entry is in video form. I was inspired by one of the collectors I follow on twitter, @MrKDub, to create a YouTube video highlighting my all time favorite collection of any individual player. I have just over 400 total cards, photos, posters, and various other pieces featuring Rod Carew. Most of those made it into this video. It’s right at 10 minutes in length, and I give enough commentary that I won’t be redundant by being overly descriptive here. I’d be honored if you chose to watch, and I’d be ecstatic if you chose to subscribe to my YouTube channel as well. Going forward, the plan is for it to be a themed companion to this blog along with my Twitter feed, all with a heavy focus on the love of true collecting in the hobby… #WhyICollect.

Che, your perspective on the reasons we collect really resonate with me. I find it difficult at times to settle on one player, even though Kenny Lofton is my all-time favorite. I’m torn between my childhood and the present day cards. Thanks for putting these thoughts out there, they are extremely helpful.
